However, early detection of small bowel melanomas remains a challenge for both radiologists and clinicians. Capsule endoscopy (CE) may be able to detect the presence of small bowel metastases in patients with melanomas more reliably than conventional investigative techniques. We report a case of small bowel metastatic amelanotic melanoma found on CE. A brief review of the literature focusing on the diagnostic yield of CE is also given.
